After a week of fun waves Saturday sees the wind swing onshore but only for the day with Sunday looking offshore again. We also have big tides so if you're a beginner the mid tide will be best!
If you're around on Sunday go check out the MBBR surf comp at The Bay!
Saturday 16th November
Swell - 1.4m - 2m
Wind - 13 - 20kts South West
High Tide - 10.25am
Low Tide - 4.35pm
A rising swell and onshore winds aren't the best. I'd still expect some fun learner waves on the mid tide and some fun reforms on the high tide for intermediate surfers. If you have the option Sunday looks better for advanced beginner and intermediate surfers.
Beginners - The mid tide will have fun, gentle white water so look to surf anytime from 11.30am - 3pm and you'll have some luck. There has been a little current but as long as you stay away from the rocks you'll be fine.
Look Out!! The high tide will be pretty heavy with the big tides, avoid 9.30am - 11.30am unless you like a lot of power in your waves.
Advanced Beginners - If you're starting to paddle out the high tide might be fun but it will still have some serious push. If you're not super confident paddling out yet come a little later (11am onwards). It will get more mellow as the tide drops.
Look Out!! Avoid the rip by the rocks!!
Intermediates - I think the high tide will be fun, even with the onshore wind.
Look Out!! Avoid the rip by the rocks!!
